Based in the pretty village of Whitworth in Rossendale, and surrounded by beautiful scenery; you will find The Riverside. This amazing venue was formerly Whitworth Civic Hall, which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 2003. Now it is once again an integral part of the local community.

The Riverside is the perfect venue for all functions, whether for business or personal use alike, and can cater for parties of up to 300 people. The Riverside has state of the art facilities, clean, fresh surroundings and a friendly team that are on hand to ensure your special day goes without hitch.

Catering for all budgets, The Riverside has three rooms in total for all events, from weddings and civil partnerships, conferences, christenings, parties and much more. A variety of menus and wines are available, with a well-stocked bar offering beverages at respectable prices. All dietary requirements can be catered for, to ensure that every member of your party has an enjoyable day.

 Weddings

As the biggest day of your life, you want to ensure that everything goes to plan. The friendly and professional team at The Riverside are on hand from the day you book your wedding venue right through till when the very last guests leave. The Riverside also has a separate secure room available to store your wedding gifts, which can be used if you want to simply escape from it all for a while.

Wedding packages start with a civil ceremony in the Mayoral Chamber followed by:
