Event Description:
After taking a break from a NWIB (RHS It's Your Neighbourhood) entry last year we have entered again for 2016.
From 2010 through to 2014 we entered our Community Garden at Whitaker Park and won the top award of Outstanding in the final three years running. This year, we have decided that we would like to enter another location.
The obvious choice is our Community Allotment in Helmshore. Not only has it proved to be very popular with volunteers old and new but it is looking, well, incredible! It obviously encompasses the whole feeling of community and we hope that NWIB like what we have done.
They will be visiting and judging the plot on Thursday 21 July (time tbc) and if anyone would like to be present when they arrive then you are more than welcome to attend the plot and share any view and stories. We'll confirm their arrival time as soon as we have it.
