The Swinging Sixties changed music, fashion and social attitudes forever. Rossendale 60's Festival is recognising what this decade did for individuals, and appreciating all aspects of the 1960's.
This event is taking place from 12th – 16th September, and will see 1960's lovers from across the country flock to our town to get a taste of this exciting decade.
With Scootfest, skittle bands and soul music, as well as 1960's attire, this festival is bringing together those who lived during this decade and those who wish they did.
Businesses across the valley are now encouraged to join in on the fun by entering Rossendale 60s Festival's competition.
To enter this competition, businesses are encouraged to decorate their shop front or windows in a retro, 1960's style during this fantastic event; you could win a prize!
A judging panel will view each window before choosing a winner! A certificate will also be awarded to place with pride in the winning window! Whether you opt for a subtle decoration or one that appears to be designed by Mary Quant herself, each window will add to the overall view of Rossendale and will also reflect just how close our community is.
Bright colours, shortened hemlines; Northern Soul and The Beatles; whichever love you have for the 1960s, we're sure you'll enjoy this fantastic festival.
Enter this competition before 5th September 2014.
Of course, to ensure our valley looks as beautiful as possible whilst 60's fans are flocking, Rossendale 60's Festival ask to keep your window clean!
