Fancy a bit of a frightening? Take part in a spooky paranormal investigation of Stubbylee Hall, a Rossendale mansion built in the 1800s. Okay, so maybe this is more for the adults than the kids (what with the tour beginning at 3.00am) but Halloween can be exciting for those above the age of 12 too, can't it?!
Frightening all the family will be easy at The Whitaker Museum, this Halloween. Listen to terrifying tales told by Neil Bell from Downton Abbey, as part of The Whitaker's Stories and Screams evening. Want to treat your children to something different this Halloween? Ski Rossendale are hosting a spooky themed party, complete with food and a session on the slope.
If you have planned to spend your Halloween trick or treating, the Run of the Living Dead is for you. This charity run on 25th October 2014 will see Rossendale being taken over my zombies – quick, run for your life and help raise money for I Love Rossendale, Cash for Kids. Beware; you only get three lives before being infected so quick, run! If you would rather be part of the apocalypse rather than a victim of, apply to be a zombie here.
