Rossendale United recruits on the Grants For Growth program this week learnt how to save lives by gaining a First Aid at Work qualification. Seven recruits completed the course held at the 38th Rossendale Scout HQ.
Former Rossendale United Chairman Steve Hobson, who managed the course on behalf of Rossendale United Supporters Association said, ‘Since August 2010 we have been working with a cohort of people who have expressed an interest in volunteering and gaining new skills in their quest for employment. The group has worked on projects at Dark Lane and taken part in various training initiatives, the most recent being this First Aid course. It has been my pleasure to work with the whole group and watch them develop their skills and confidence throughout the last 4 months.
