Mark Pawsey, MP for Rugby, was invited along to Abbots Farm Infant School on Saturday 24th March 2012 to their volunteer work weekend.
Mark joined volunteers to help improve the school grounds.
The aim of the day was to involve families and the local community in ongoing work to improve the grounds as an inspiring space for learning.
Mark commented:
“It was really enjoyable to go along and help pupils, parents and other volunteers to make vital improvements to the grounds of the school.”
He continued:
“I am in support of learning taking place both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of the hard work of all of the volunteers this weekend, pupils at the school can now engage in learning outside.”
He concluded:
“I hope that by making use of the school grounds as a learning space, staff will inspire pupils to enjoy the space created.”
