Rugby Town Centre and Caldecott Park
A fly-past of historic aircraft over Rugby town centre and Caldecott Park has been organised as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Rugby over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
A Douglas DC-3, an aircraft that first flew in 1935, and a de Havilland DH.89 Dragon Rapide, a 1934 designed British short-haul passenger biplane airliner, will fly over the town centre and Caldecott Park at 3:00 pm on Saturday 2nd June 2012.
The fly-past will conclude the commemorative parade of service and ex-service personnel and community groups.
The fly-past has been arranged by the Midland Air Museum at Baginton, and is subject to flight approval and prevailing weather conditions.
The celebrations have been organised by Rugby Borough Council, in association with Rugby First and principal sponsors, CEMEX.
