What do we do with our old TV sets in Rugby?

With the recent digital switchover many of us are left with old analogue televisions – but what do we do with them? Recycle them of course!

Do you still have VHS films, DVD’s or a game console or know anyone who does? Why not keep it to watch the VHS films or DVD’s or use it solely with a games console?
Or what about a neighbour or friend who could make good use of it? Perhaps an elderly person who enjoys watching films or a youngster who could have the games console in his bedroom instead of the lounge?

There are also voluntary and community organisations who accept unwanted working electrical items, which are inspected, checked and resold.

Alternatively are you a member of a reuse network such as Rugby Freegle (UK) – then offer it on-line?
Visit Rugby Freegle for more details

If there is nothing you can do with your old analogue TV then take it to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at Hunters Lane, Rugby.
For directions, opening hours and details of recycling items they take click here.

At Hunters Lane there is also charity reuse shop ran by Age Concern Warwickshire. All proceeds from the sale of materials from the shop go directly to the charity.

Remember try to keep useable items out of landfill and recycle!
