RAGlM opened in spring 2000 in a purpose built contemporary building. The Art Gallery hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary visual art and craft, and exhibitions from the Rugby Collection of 20th century and contemporary British Art. The Museum has a permanent display of Roman artifacts and a Socal History Gallery focusing on Rugby people and life. Floor One Gallery is a hireable exhibitions space. Education underpins all the exhibitions and displays including: free activities, handling collections, multi-media kiosk, school holiday workshops, free artist talks. RAGM is open almost throughout 2012 with the exception of Sundays and Mondays and a few days over the Christmas period and during changethe gallery will be closed during changeover weeks which are - Art Gallery Closed:18th March – 30th March,24th June – 6th July, 2nd September – 14th September, 11th November – 22nd November. Art Gallery and Museum Closed:24th – 26th December (Christmas)
