I’m just going to cut straight to the chase with this blog; there is somewhere that you NEED to be this weekend starting with Saturday 17th May. Drop your plans; get the kids and head down to Eccles for an extremely special event – Celebrating Eccles 2014!
This annual event is a celebration that is all about promoting Eccles and is part of the Global Creative Community Congress. In other words, it is an unmissable opportunity to show your support for this great town, I mean, it’s the least you could do – they gave us Eccles Cake for God's sake!
This weekend aims to bring together the creative community of Eccles to celebrate the rich history and culture of Eccles through artist fairs, author fairs, music fairs, design fairs and any other creative fair you can think of! You can also enjoy a creative trail and, for the first time ever, an Eccles Debate will be taking place.
I have used the word unmissable in this blog, and I really mean it. This is a wonderfully unique and brilliant way to get behind your local community and really flex your creative muscles.
Celebrating Eccles 2014 will be taking place at Eccles Parish Church from 17th -18th May.
