Ofcourse you do! That is probably one of the most redundant questions I have ever written. I don't want to discriminate against non-cake lovers but even they love cakes, they just don't know it yet!
Don't worry, this isn't just a blog about how much I love cakes (a lot), there is a method to the madness. I am sure many of you have heard of a certain festival named the Eccles Cake Festival, a festival that champions the cake for which the town is named after.
From the 7th–13th October, there are a fantastic range of caked based events that populate this much loved festival including the Great Eccles Cake Off, which is basically a bake off with a local twist. This isn't just a celebration of cakes but a celebration of the history of Eccles and the surrounding area as people come to taste and sample the foundations of a town's namesake.
