Shoppers are invited to start the festive season with a bang on Saturday 24th November as Walkden Town Centre launches its Christmas events programme – Walkden In a Winter Wonderland.
Organised in conjunction with volunteer-led group Walkden Community, the town centre will come alive with festive family entertainment, market stalls and Christmas spirit from 10am.
Children will be able to enjoy free balloon models as well as magic performances and a wide range of arts and crafts including slime workshops, lucky dips, hook a duck and face painting.
Santa will make his arrival on stage from 12pm, before welcoming visitors into his magical Christmas Grotto for a gift and photo souvenir (£5 entry).
Shoppers will also be treated to live musical performances from Harrop Fold School, dance school AK Theatre Arts in Walkden and Worsley and many more local performers. Mulled wine, food and Christmas gifts will also be available from 30 stalls in the pop-up Christmas Market, located on the Link Mall and Egerton Walk.

“Walkden in a Winter Wonderland is set to be one of our best Christmas celebrations yet and we’re very excited to welcoming shoppers and performers on the 24th November for lots of free activities.”
