A Sea of Stars is a musical theatre showcase aiming to raise money in aid of the Stars Appeal charity who directly support the Salisbury District Hospital.
This showcase contains a plethora of exceptional, award-winning young performers who are all local to the city of Salisbury. These young talents will perform iconic musical theatre numbers, ranging from Wicked all the way to Billy Elliot. Many of these performers also attend the highly respected and award-winning, Starcast Performing Arts School in Salisbury and all of which, are members of the elite training within Companies and Troupes, also under Starcast.
I had originally conceived this idea following the anniversary of my Grandmothers passing; a woman who, was nothing but supported, cared for and made comfortable by the team at the Salisbury District Hospital. Not only did they keep my grandmother comfortable, they also made a point to comfort myself and my family through those difficult months. The volume of respect and gratitude I have for the Stars Appeal team, could never be matched by a monetary donation however if my group of young performers could raise enough money to contribute to their aim to raise £1million this calendar year, that would be enough.
When raising money for Stars, it’s the patients on the wards of the Salisbury District Hospital who will directly benefit from the donations. Patients who were my grandma and who could be anyone in my life, or yours. There really is no better cause.
The showcase will open with an impactful ensemble number and end even bigger with over 20 young voices doing the thing they love for a cause so important.
A Sea of Stars will welcome you with open arms, make you laugh, cry, turn to the person next to you and mouth ‘wow!’ and not to mention the sheer impact that this ensemble sound has. You will leave feeling just as comforted, warm and inspired as the team at Stars makes their patients and affected families feel.
We promise a fun, heartwarming and joyous evening and would love to have you there to witness the sea of stars!
