Children coming to Sheffield Music City festival who come in fancy dress as a pop star, musician or song character, can walk the red carpet and have their photograph taken and added to the Winter Garden’s Wall of Fame. The photograph of the best diva or cool dude will win its owner a family ticket to see High School Musical 2 at the Lyceum Theatre, thanks to Sheffield Theatres.
Photographer Jacqui Bellamy will be waiting to snap at the 'Wall of Fame' in the Winter Garden on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July from 12 noon to 4pm each day.
Cllr Sylvia Dunkley, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Tourism, said: "The Kids Zone is just one part of Sheffield Music City festival, which is a free event and offers something for everybody."
Maire McCarthy, Kids Zone co-ordinator, added: “We hope that everyone will come along in fancy dress, but we’ll have some funky wigs and accessories standing by just in case and for a small charge, we can print off another copy for people to take away with them.”
