Nice cafe and shop, interesting displays on Shropshire Hills, lovely walks by the river. Went on Good Friday, but not overly busy. I will return and do some more walks

The whole Centre was just great, staff helpful, food was fantastic and so much to do there. Great for families with young children and easy access for those with walking difficulties. Highly recommended a stop there.

Called here as a 'rest' stop in both directions of a trip through. A busy but pleasant centre, offering 'homemade' food. On first visit we had coffee and cakes, which were fine. On our return tip, which was particularly busy, had a pastie, which was not very tasty, and cakes, which were dry. So disappointing - but perhaps due to the business.

Lots to do here, outdoor play facilities and exploring the meadows. Very good cafe and toilet facilities,ities. Very large car park with free parking.

Nice visitor centre with a decent cafe. Walks were well signposted and described. The only thing that it wasn't clearly indicated that some of the trails involve crossing through open fields with livestock and we were pursued by a rather angry cow at one point whilst with a young child!

We visited this centre, looking forward to seeing the mammoth and not expecting much more. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a reasonably sized exhibition, detailing much history of the local area. It was very well presented and interesting. There was a lovely walk to enjoy and a great place to enjoy a picnic.

Loved learning about the mammoth and the history of the beautiful surrounding Shropshire countryside. The film gives a great overview of both the history and beauty of the area. Lots of lovely walks are signposted from here, with a range of distances. We then enjoyed some well priced drinks at the cafe, served by friendly staff. Finally picked up some items for Christmas gifts from the shop, lots of choice and some great value items.

We went for a walk here which was lovely, however more signage is needed. The cafe is expensive for what you get and staff was OK not very welcoming to be honest.

Intrigued and lured in by the signage we stopped in on our way from Stokesay to Church Stretton.
Unfortunately this just wasn't for us. The shop and centre weren't especially distracting and the museum appeared closed so perhaps we missed out.
There looked to be plenty of outdoor activity possible so I'd say this place is better suited to young families and/or dogs with loads of energy to run off.
As far as couples' visit - not really something I'd recommend.

The visitor centre is very nice, very smart and informative. There is a good cafe there too. Well worth a few quid to go and learn about the area's history, geology and archaeological sites. There's a copy of the mammoth skeleton found nearby too, which is very cool. The marked walks were not so impressive, but it was March and the area had recently been subject to heavy rain and floods.

The shop and cafeteria are well stocked with lots of choices and The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The walk around the riverside meadows was nice with lots of lovely wild flowers blooming. Great day out for all ages.

Lovely place to spend an hour or two. The weather was terrible so the meadows weren't an option but we will be back!

The walks were great, not too muddy despite the very wet conditions. We found the cafe to be very hot and the tables whilst clear hadn't been cleaned. Guess this is because customers can selfclear, but dispute it being quite quiet the on duty staff hadn't made the effort which was a shame. We had fish and chips but the fish was either stale or over cooked or both. It's a great place to stop and could easily be better.

We just ate here for a family christmas meal - we all had really lovely food, with good portion sizies and everything was well-cooked. The nut roast was really light, not at all stodgy like they used to be, and slightly spicy.

Lovely meal for three generations with large and tasty portions. Followed by delicious selection of ice creams served in very generous scoops on the cones. Have been many times and always happy to come back.

While on holiday we visited on to separate days as our daughter wanted to go to the activity that they had put on. Lovely staff and friendly and helpful. We visited again if coming to the area. Plenty for you to do.

Have been here many times, many months of the year in many scenarios and it’s great. Lovely refectory style dining with a great down to earth menu and with good coffee. The thing that really sets it apart though is the ice cream. Locally made some predictable and some unusual flavours - Orange Swirl has had me making a special trip and that’s from me a take-it-or-leave-it ice cream eater!
The shop is great for gifts and the walks and information about the surroundings are well presented and maintained and all with an eco-friendly building at its heart, well done indeed!

Initially thought the centre was child education oriented , not so, pleasant experience, Staff lovely, cafe and food fine, wonderful walks, you only pay for the woolly mammoth exhibition which is good, film was great. Very relaxed place. Considering it is funded by a charity a great experience.
