Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, fab property, grounds, parking, evening meal, breakfast, room and people
I was made totally welcome by kind and caring staff
Friendly staff, very clean property.
Beautiful old hotel in the countryside. Surrounded by fields and a lovely walk to Battlefield farm shop. Very close to Shrewsbury town centre. We parked at Battlefield park and ride …
Definitely not deserving of 4 star rating- this hotel is desperate for an upgrade. The TV is tiny and had very poor channel choices. The driveway gives a good impression …

Was their for a friends wedding, great reception service great breakfast
Okay, so Shrewsbury is not the easiest place to stay on a budget. At the time of booking perversely, the Albright Hussey was over a hundred pounds cheaper over the …
Old building but expensive for what it is. Restaurant is very nice but the standard of catering is very poor. You have to book food before you arrive from a …
A fabulous historic hotel set in glorious Shropshire countryside. Staff were very attentive and friendly, both to us and our dog! Lovely bedroom with lots of extras. Only disappointment was …
The reception staff were just wonderful and attentive. The accommodation was beautiful and despite ice cold weather the accommodation was beautifully warm. The Christmas meal was a delight.
Stay was comfortable and clean, Sadly no food available at the time but they were happy for us to order in
A lovely place to stay, clean and friendly. Disappointed with the breakfast which was a brown paper bag filled with cereal type bars and croissants. Yoghurt and pots of porridge …

Fantastic stay in The Royalist Room. Full of character with great service.

Great location. Very dated and requires a revamp. Mild around the bath and our room was too small for us and a travel cot. We informed the hotel that we …
Fantastic staff and stunning property in glorious surroundings
The location of Albright Hussey Manor Hotel is ideal as a base for visiting Shrewsbury and the local area. It's very close to one of the park and ride facilities. …
The hotel looks lovely from the outside, we checked in staff not over friendly but she was efficient. The room was clean overall but a large spider in the light …
Wonderful location ..The building is idylic staff were brilliant ...Rooms are a little dated but was clean and adequate
Stunning location with extremely attentive staff who are completely in tune with their customers. This is definitely a pin in the map for future visits to the area.
A beautiful hotel in peaceful countryside but within easy reach of Shrewsbury and local tourist attractions, etc. The staff were really friendly and efficient, and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Front of house staff were lovely and welcoming, but that is all I can really say nice about our stay.
Our room was like something out of the 70/80s very twee and old-fashioned. Quilt cover had a rip in it. Bath looked old, faint smell of cigarette smoke. No soap, shower gel etc in the bathroom - to help save the planet apparently - you could request some at reception.
We were woken about 6am by what I assume was some kind of water cistern behind one of the bedroom walls that sounded like a plane going over head.
The party. Arrival time was stated as 7pm and most (about 180) turned up about then. We were all crowded into the bar which wasn't big enough and soon warmed up to a very uncomfortable temperature. They eventually let us in at 8pm. Drinks were astronomically expensive - £7.50 for a pint £8.20 for a Baileys or a large glass of wine (£25+ by the bottle) and £7.20 for a pint of coke!!!.
The main course wasn't served until after 9pm and my beef was dry and tasteless, though others who had the turkey said it wasn't bad. And my Xmas pudding was dry too.
All in all not somewhere I would ever go again and certainly don't know where it gets it 4 star rating from. I did voice most of my complaints to reception before leaving.
