The treasurer of the Friends of St. Chad’s Church, Shrewsbury, John Elliott and his guest, Pat Jenks, spent the afternoon being chauffeur driven in a 1936 Rolls Royce Barker saloon after winning a raffle prize.
The prize was gifted to the Friends of St. Chad’s jointly by Shrewsbury funeral director Aubrey Kirkham and caravan dealership Salop Leisure. Mr Kirkham provided and drove the Rolls Royce on a local tour while Salop Leisure laid on afternoon cream tea for Mr Elliott and Mrs Jenks at its Love Coffee restaurant.
