St Mary’s Church in Shrewsbury is the place to be this Saturday to start your Christmas shopping at Shropshire Rural Communities Charity’s Christmas Fayre. Over 20 stallholders will be selling a range of hand crafted gifts, jewelery, cosmetics, decorations, ceramics and gifts of all kinds to satisfy all budgets. We'll be selling handcrafted Christmas decorations and our hugely successful Terry's Chocolate Orange Christmas pudding cosies knitted by our wonderful volunteers which make the ideal Secret Santa gift or stocking filler!
Raffle tickets for our Grand Christmas Raffle will be on sale with the opportunity to win a fantastic “Frog” children’s bicycle worth £300, as well as over 30 other raffle prizes. This will make a fantastic edition to someone’s Christmas stocking this year.
Seasonal musical will be performed by Prestfelde Choir and Telford and District Light Operatic Players, and there will be mulled wine, coffee and home made cake to enjoy while you listen. And to keep the children occupied we will have a children’s craft area to make Christmas cards and decorate a “Shropshire Rock”
Our charity will use funds raised at the fayre to continue to provide vital services to Shropshire’s communities, addressing rural issues such as poor transport; fuel poverty; isolation due to disability, sight-loss or hearing-loss; support for Shropshire’s voluntary village hall committees and other voluntary community groups.
St Mary’s Church provides a beautiful setting for your Christmas shopping, and with mulled wine, cake and Christmas products to browse, there’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit!
The Christmas Fayre is open between 10am-3.30pm and entrance is free.
