A local restaurant is celebrating a hugely successful first year in business which has not only seen its team and customer base grow significantly, but has already put in place exciting plans for future expansion.

Spanish tapas bar Casa Naranjo is a family-run restaurant located in the heart of Shrewsbury town centre, headed up by husband and wife team Emma and Alfonso Yufera-Ruiz.  Following the launch of sister restaurant Casa Ruiz in Bridgnorth two years ago, the pair decided to launch their second venture in the county town, located in Barrack’s Passage, just off Wyle Cop.

Emma Yufera-Ruiz, Co-Owner of Casa Naranjo, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating our first year in the town and would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, and staff, for helping to make this past twelve months so successful.

“We decided to open up in Shrewsbury as there wasn’t really anything similar in the town, and we wanted to provide residents with something a little bit different.  I’m also from Shropshire, so I knew that local people would be really receptive to the idea, and the feedback we’ve had so far has been fantastic.  Guests like the fact that when they come to dine with us, they get a true flavour of Spain, not only because of the quality ingredients that we use but also because the majority of our staff, including our Executive Chef and Front of House team, are of Spanish origin.

“Tapas is also hugely versatile and can be perfect for any occasion, whether it be a formal dinner or a quick and informal lunch, and it is a real social occasion.  People can just take what they want a little at a time, and can order more as and when they want it!  We’re hugely excited about the future of Casa Naranjo, and look forward to welcoming customers, old and new, over the next twelve months and beyond.”

Emma, Alfonso and the team have recently announced plans to open further outlets across the region over the next few months.

“After our successes in Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth, we’ve decided to expand our offer and launch a tapas restaurant in Birmingham, as well as a specialist delicatessen, and are really excited about the prospect of growing the Authentic Tapas Group and welcoming new customers.” Emma concluded.

Casa Naranjo is a family-run tapas bar located in the heart of Shrewsbury offering homemade, authentic Spanish Tapas.  The team prides itself on its offer of high quality food produced from carefully sourced ingredients, as well as its superb customer service, provided by a dedicated team of passionate and friendly staff.   For further information on Casa Naranjo and its sister restaurant, Casa Ruiz, please contact a member of the team on 01743 588165, email hola@casanaranjo.co.uk or visit www.casanaranjo.co.uk.
