Love Plants the new Shrewsbury based plant centre will be holding a grand opening with a special guest.
Chris Beardshaw is to open Love Plants Centre on Sunday 7th April 2013.
Official Opening
An award-winning gardener and landscape designer, who is a Shrewsbury Flower Show ambassador, will be returning to the town on Sunday to officially open a specialist plant centre.
Chris Beardshaw, star of BBC2 hit television series Hidden Gardens and the hugely popular The Flying Gardener, has agreed to open Love Plants which is located within Salop Leisure’s successful caravan dealership based at Emstrey.
Experienced Staff
Love Plants has a team of nine experienced staff, who provide expert advice to customers at the 4,500 square feet plant centre. The £500,000 centre has been developed in association with Dingle Nurseries and Derwen Garden Centre, well established and highly respected businesses in Guilsfield, near Welshpool and all plants will be sourced and selected by their experienced staff.
Love Plants aims to sell a diverse range of specialist plants, including 20 feet tall Japanese Acers, alongside old garden favourites and accessories that support plant growth and plant health.
Members of staff have different areas of expertise as well as a strong interest in horticulture and gardening as a whole.
“It’s one of the most exciting horticultural projects that has been developed in Shrewsbury,” said Salop Leisure’s chairman Tony Bywater. “It’s a specialist plant centre where customers can buy top quality plants and receive great advice from knowledgeable staff on a wide range of topics, from growing vegetables to providing exciting planting combinations.”
Love Plants Events
The official opening by Chris Beardshaw will be the culmination of three days of events at Love Plants and a series of summer activities is also being finalised to reward loyal customers.
