A woman who spent 31 years working for a bank has swapped her job as personal banking manager to become a caravan holiday home sales executive at award-winning dealership, Salop Leisure.
Tanya Bebb, a mum of two, began working for Salop Leisure at Emstrey, Shrewsbury in July and loves the job after becoming disillusioned working for the bank.
“I have very happy memories of owning a caravan holiday home at Caerdaniel Holiday Home Park, Barmouth for 11 years,” said Tanya, whose ambition is to tour Europe in a campervan with her partner.
“I like the lifestyle that caravan ownership offers because it helps people make the most of every day by spending quality time with those they love. Buying a caravan holiday home is all about the feel good factor and making sure that happy memories are made.”
She explained that the death of her mum, Ruth Edwards, from cancer in 2006 had made her re-evaluate her life and she feels revitalised since joining Salop Leisure.
“I approached Salop Leisure to see if they had any jobs and jumped at the chance to join the company,” she said. “I feel like the real Tanya is back and can’t wait to get to work every morning.
“I had a very good impression about Salop Leisure before joining the company but it’s 100 per cent better than what I had imagined. Everyone has really made me feel welcome and I love the teamwork.
“It’s such a well-run company and much more personal, whereas the bank had become impersonal.”
A qualified reflexologist and masseuse, she has also trained in flower arranging. One of her hobbies is walking, having recently hiked 28 miles along Hadrian’s Wall with a friend to raise nearly £1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
