The chairman of a leading Shropshire-based company has said no business can afford to stand still if it wishes to be successful.
Tony Bywater, from Salop Leisure, made the comment after announcing a further £100,000 investment in upgrading the company’s impressive headquarters alongside Shrewsbury bypass at Emstrey. Work will start before Christmas and be completed by the end of January.
Love Plants
The news follows last week’s announcement of £400,000 investment by the company in a specialist plant centre alongside its Shrewsbury headquarters. The 4,500 sq ft. ‘Love Plants’ centre will create six jobs and is scheduled to open next spring.
Mr Bywater revealed that following a recent upgrade of the furnishings in the popular Love Coffee restaurant at Salop Leisure’s headquarters, the company planned to turn its attention to re-styling and improving the accessory department, customer toilets and caravan holiday home display area.
Revamped
“The accessory department will be completely revamped to brighten it up and ensure that customers can easily find what they looking for,” he said. “Although our toilets are renowned as some of the best in Shropshire, they are also being upgraded ready for the 2013 tourist season.
“We are confident that the new toilets will be a contender for the Loo of the Year awards next year.”
The holiday home display area is being modified and landscaped to make room for ‘Love Plants’, which will be located towards the front and side of the headquarters.
Highest standards
“When you are in business, you cannot afford to stand still,” added Mr Bywater. “It has always been the company’s philosophy to invest in the highest standards to guarantee that customers have the best possible experience when they visit.
“We have great staff who deliver excellent customer care and it’s essential that we have top quality premises to match.”
