Shrewsbury is preparing to host the largest outdoor exhibition of new and pre-owned caravans in the UK next month.

The annual West Midlands Caravan and Motorhome Spring Show will be held at award winning caravan dealership Salop Leisure’s Emstrey headquarters from April 29 to May 7.

A wide range of leisure vehicles

Around 250 new and pre-owned touring caravans, static holiday homes and luxury lodges, motorhomes and campervan conversions will be on display at the show which is expects to attracts thousands of visitors.

Visitors will get their first glimpse of the latest innovations in new holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes, with new models from Atlas, ABI, Carnaby, Willerby and Swift set be launched at the event.

Expert advice for buyers

Representatives from 20 quality holiday holiday home parks across Mid Wales and the Heart of England will be attending the show to help first time buyers find the ideal location for their holiday home or luxury lodge. A team of experts will be on hand throughout the show to guide first time buyers through the complete process.

Expert advice about towing touring caravans will also be available to ensure that customers are properly prepared before heading off on their holiday adventure.

 A fun family weekend

The emphasis will be on family fun on both weekends of the show when there will be free entertainment provided by Hawkeye Falconry, a climbing wall and face painting for children.

“This show gives our customers an ideal opportunity to see the latest innovations in caravan holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes and there’s always lots going on to keep families entertained,” said Salop Leisure’s chairman Tony Bywater.

“We are fortunate to work with leading caravan and motorhome manufacturers and quality caravan parks in Mid Wales and the Heart of England, which are among the best in Europe.”

Raising money for charity

Coffees and teas sold to visitors throughout the 10 days will help to raise money for Severn Hospice, one of Salop Leisure’s adopted charities this year.

In addition to free parking and show admission, visitors will be able to visit Love Plants, a specialist plants centre at Salop Leisure’s headquarters and the popular Love Coffee restaurant on site. Free tickets are available to download at www.caravanevent.co.uk.
