The bestof Shrewsbury have decided to put the team's 40 years of marketing experience to good use by launching a brand new business information event in the town.
Andy and Emma Rao, directors of The bestof Shrewsbury and Key 3 Media have been based in Shrewsbury, their hometown, since 2004 and have attended many local business events.
Now, they are launching their own business community evening, a fresh new event where marketing tips, tools and techniques can be shared with attending business owners.
Not traditional
The inaugural event on October 16th will be held between 6pm and 8pm, at Greenhous Meadow, Shrewsbury and will give Shropshire entrepreneurs the chance to mingle and create important new contacts but it is not a “traditional” networking session.
Improving your business
The event is more about learning how to improve one’s business through effective marketing that requires no budget – just knowledge and time.
Andy said: “One of the great things about the bestof Shrewsbury is that it brings so many different businesses together. We work with everyone, from accountants and solicitors to nail bars, window cleaners and everything in between.
Across the board
"Not only are the businesses local, but so are the people behind them. Often, when you go to business events you see the same people from the same businesses.
"This event will see decision makers from B2C as well as B2B, making it a good opportunity to meet people from right across the business community. We carried out extensive research with the help of the hundreds of businesses we work with to help us get the format right.
"With their feedback, we believe we have come up with an event that is different and exciting. Plus there is a fantastic buffet, bar and guest speakers. And absolutely no PowerPoint!”
