The biggest event on the calendar!; The show held in May each year is the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society’s main event - with a history dating back more than 126 years!
The show never disappoints, a fact borne out by the thousands of visitors who flock through the gates each year. The showground is easily accessible and there’s plenty of parking available. There are special ticket deals for families which keep the overall expense of the day at a manageable and cost-effective level and efforts are also made to ensure most of the attractions within the showground are FREE once the price of admission has been paid.
Some of the finest agricultural exhibits for miles around can be seen on show day, with a great deal of interest always shown in the latest farm machinery and vintage gems from the past.
The main-ring entertainment serves up dare-devil thrills and spills while the showing of ever-popular livestock classes remain among the biggest attractions. There are horse, dog and poultry shows for visitors to look around and an animal zone where children can get up close to furry and feathered friends.
A kids’ zone provides plenty of free activities for the little ones to get involved in, there’s live music to complement the day’s entertainment, food and craft marquees and plenty of food and drink vendors around the showground.
