Our children love it here. There are just enough changes year to year so that the adults don't get too bored, and the children can spend a happy 2 hours here easily, especially if the horses are working.

Never been before but was so impressed!
Staff were very friendly and had a donkey and cart ride for the children which they adored and was the highlight of the holiday.
Great tea and cake in the old school.

Beautiful buildings, great exhibits and friendly staff. A great combo.

Would not hesitate to recommend.

When we visited we arrived early at 1000. Greeting was friendly as were all farm workers throughout the day. Wonderful setting and we were treated to a fascinating display of how to put an iron tyre onto a cartwheel. Shire horses were stunning and the man looking after them made our children feel safe and happy. Finished off with a super home made lunch. Excellent day out.

The title was the word my 7 year old Grandaughter used to describe her day. She has been to every farm, National Trust property and tourist venues in both Shropshire, North Wales and the West Midlands and always wants to return to Acton Scott. It is by far her favourite. We spent 6.5 hours here and all enjoyed every minute. It is a step back in time with a lovely setting, wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff. It is a true farm not a venue trying to compete with something it isn't. You won't find razzmatazz or gimmicky lures. It is a welcome relief from the commercial approach a lot have taken.
Please don't change it anymore you have a true treasure which has a special place in this modern world.

This was a return visit to the famous Working Farm museum - I went with my adult son and adult niece, both of whom had visited as children and enjoyed going back. It was great to see three day old piglets and learn about their care. The Shire horses are magnificent and we met the new Mule, Delilah. Everyone who works there is so friendly; they will answer your questions fully and I learned a lot about a farrier's work which we saw demonstrated, which is pretty much the same now as it's been for hundreds of years. You can learn about the farm and the history of farming methods from the displays too. One minor drawback was the long wait for food at the cafe - if you mind waiting, you should take a picnic, but the home-made food was excellent! Kids love the animals and you can help feed the animals, handle baby chicks etc. so it can be a hands-on experience.

What a fantastic day spent at the farm! I brought my 5 and 2 year old sons to the farm and they had a brilliant time meeting all the people working there and seeing all the animals. There was so much to see and do and the staff were genuinely lovely and keen to help us learn more about the traditional ways of farming. There were lots of hand-on activities the boys could get involved with, which they loved. And all set in beautiful surroundings. Thank you to the Acton Scott Working Farm team for making this day a day for my boys and I to remember, and for all your work in enabling the farm and all its ways to continue to live...
