We spent a great 5 hours here. Parking was just £1 donation ( not compulsory). The centre has a number of walks staring from here. We took the riverside walk which was a lovely circular walk. When we arrived back, we were told that one of the staff was by the pools and was giving educational talks about dragon fly,.... so we thought why not !! ,,,,This was brilliant,. She was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much. We will definitely be back to try some of the other walks. The gift shop was also good.

There are lots of walks signposted from here suitable for all abilities (including wheelchair routes), varying distances and taking in a variety of scenery. There is a children's play area, shop, toilets and an exhibition. The video shows a distance view of the iron age hill fort, this really helps you to understand the history of the area. The cafe is very good specialising in local produce. There are lots of children's activities during school holidays. They have a vegan and vegetarian cookery workshop in September. Activities may have a cost otherwise it's free entry and plenty of free parking. As this is run as a charity they accept donations.

A brilliant day out. Stopped for coffee and cake and a wander round the exhibition. Exhibition was well laid out and informative. Both children (15 and 11) enjoyed walking round and reading all the information.
Plenty of outdoor space to walk dogs afterwards. The shop has many interesting and varied things to browse.
Enjoyed visiting that we came back for lunch and another dog walk!

We visited here on our way home from from South Wales, it’s an ideal stop over for lunch where the children can burn of some energy and we can stretch our legs. We didn’t go in the cafe but it looked busy so that must be a good sign! Toilets could be cleaner though.

The kids wanted to go here when we drove past to go to Stokesay Castle so we stopped off after to have a look. The kids wanted to go around the exhibition to see the Shropshire Mamonth but was £13.50 for a family. I can't say if it's worth it or not as wasn't prepared to pay that for what looked like quite a small exhibition & after paying nearly £8 for 4 drinks. Outside there are plenty of walks to do & a couple of small play area's for the kids so not a completely wasted stop off.

We often stop by at Salop Leisure when passing in our Motorhome and treat ourselves to lunch, brunch or afternoon tea at "Love Coffee" - the cafe is always busy, however spacious and Service is prompt (order at till, food and drinks subsequently delivered to your table). Comfortable seating, food and drinks great quality and tasty, prices a little on the high side.

Today we visited probably for the last time. After having a super time looking round we decided to have lunch, we went through to the outdoor play area with our son and 9 month old puppy. I ordered food and drinks which seemed to take for ever, and went and sat back outside , after about ten minutes the drinks arrived, after a further twenty two minutes the food arrived, by this time our son and puppy were very bored and the puppy ran to the inside door , at which point my husband grabbed him off our son and the next thing the blonde Rottweiler who I assume was in charge was ripping into my husband shouting dogs are not aloud in the play area and he said sorry where's your notice , her reply was the management won't let us put one up. At this my husband left. He did point out to her that we had been twice in the last six months and both times we had eaten outside with the dog. Can't comment on the food as we left it !!! Won't stay away from Salop Leisure but will not use cafe again.

Very good range of sandwiches and cakes at this very popular café located by a garden centre and within a caravan sales outlet, This is just off the A% route to Mid and North Wales and is a good place to break your journey. Plenty of parking. Very quick and polite service
