A very pleasant to spend an hour or more. There is well stocked gift shop which was particularly inexpensive, an smart cafe with a good menu and lots of information on the local area. Then outside there were some wonderful guided walks

Visited here with a group of excitable 5-7 yr olds and 2 babies in prams. Beautiful surroundings to run free and enough benches etc to sit and have a picnic. The only down side we though £5 for entrance into the discovery centre was expensive for a short walk round. All in all a good few hours in the fresh air!!

An interesting evocation of Shropshire’s past, with an impressive life size reconstruction of the skeleton of a woolly mammoth, found at Condover, near Shrewsbury. I do however think that at £5, it is overpriced, even though the displays are good.
Outside there are some pleasant walks in the meadowlands of the River Onny.

I live local & often pop in for a browse now & then plus coffee/tea & cake.
PLEASE please improve the tea!
It is just so weak & tasteless.
Just awful, on every occasion. Other people
say the same & I hear negative comments about it when there. Homemade cakes are fine! I know funds are limited but some new chairs would be nice too. Thank you.

Stopped here to have something to eat. Good selection on the menu with gluten free bread as an option. Very reasonably priced. Will come again to view the rest of the centre when I am next in the area.

A very nice place to visit. The walk round the acreage was very pleasurable, with the chance to see quite a range of wildlife. The mammoth exhibit, with associated history of the area, is well worth the £5 fee. In short worth while.

We called in here for a browse and coffee on our way to our next stop. We had a coffee which was ok, but we also had some homemade shortbread, unfortunately it was quite stodgy as it hadn’t been cooked quite enough.

Lovely place for family visit lots to see and do at very little cost. Kids think the walks and park area is great. The discovery centre mammoth centre is great with lots of informative information for all ages. The ice creams from the coffee shop are amazing and a must on a visit. Been a few times and certainly come again if not for a walk around the lovely area and a ice cream. Highly recommend

Often pop in there on the way to Cardiff for coffee and cake - the cakes are unbelievable the best ever. Had full English breakfast there on Saturday and was very impressed.

We visited here on holiday in Shropshire on 30 June. We walked round Onny Meadows with our dog then sat outside for lunch. We enjoyed their fish finger sandwich with salad and their tuna mayo sandwich on brown bread with salad, drinking a coca cola and dandelion and burdock. Excellent food.
