We visited to use the cafe and play area. We had dogs so it was a bit of a faff ordering food then fetching dogs to go round to the outside seats but ok.

Food was average pricing and normal selection.

Toilets clean.

There was a lot of toys etc on sale but they looked ok price wise (didn't look closely).

I think it would be a good place to visit for a good walk especially with kids or dogs.

Visited late July 2019 with wife, two kids, in laws and a dog. I liked the concept of the place - celebrating the glorious Shropshire hills and countryside. However, as others have stated, you an attraction aimed at the outdoor, nature types. They are most likely to have a dog or two. It is not dog friendly to make people with dogs sit outside in the heat (lack of adequate sun shades/umbrellas) or the rain. Plus it is a faff to have to get food and take it outside. Me and the wife had to sit outside with the dog while the kids and the in laws went inside, viewed the exhibition and had food! Not good. What was even more annoying is all the space there was inside where dogs could sit? You could easily turn that over to dog owners as opposed to having people just sat there lounging about on sofas. I was most unimpressed. At other attractions we have visited they had a covered area with dog pens (containing water) where you could contain your dog. Just an idea for you to consider.
Apart from the dog issue. The food was nice. The cakes were wonderful and we had a cracking walk through the pathways. A great stop off or combine it with a visit to nearby Stokesay.

Not a place to visit from afar.
Attraction has few interesting aspects, but there are good walking paths.
Cafe is excellent for home cooked food at reasonable prices.
We went because of an advertised "food fair". It was the smallest ever with food limited to cakes, cheesy somethings and plums.

We visited yesterday to see a Colour Run taking place. It looked like everyone was having a wonderful time. There seems to be loads happening here for all the family and we really liked the look of the film nights and the children's activities looked great too
We really enjoyed our walk along the river (no otters for us unfortunately) and we had a cream tea served with local damson jam. Delicious!

This place is a great stop of for many reasons - lovely meadows and a riverside walk or for a coffee or locally sourced food. Dogs are allowed round the meadows so it is a good place to break up a long journey and there is plenty for children to do too. Lovely, reasonably priced gift shop. The staff are all helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Great place to use a base to go walking from.

After a 5-hour hike along the Shropshire Way from Clun, I was disappointed to discover that the café only serves its lunch menu till 2pm. I made do with a small bowl of soup, sitting at one of the few tables that was free of dirty crockery.
However, I do recommend walking around Onny Meadows behind the centre - lovely ponds and views of the surrounding hills.

Initially thought the centre was child education oriented , not so, pleasant experience, Staff lovely, cafe and food fine, wonderful walks, you only pay for the woolly mammoth exhibition which is good, film was great. Very relaxed place. Considering it is funded by a charity a great experience.
