We had our wedding at the Hussey and Paul and the team were amazing throughout. We met with Paul and the team on many occasions prior to the day and they helped us to plan and make the day very special. Our guests also loved the venue and we couldn’t recommend the venue enough. The team made sure the day was exactly as we needed, the food was great and everyone couldn’t speak highly enough about the Hussey.

A beautiful venue, with friendly and efficient service. However, we were given a 'bijou' room, which was so cramped we could not open the wardrobe doors and drawers properly, as there was very little space between the front of the wardrobe and the side of the bedside table - had to squeeze items in and just kept some in the suitcase. TV was tiny - one attempt to turn it on failed, but it wasn't an issue for us. Window looked out on a farm, with horses, which was quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was lovely, with plenty of hot water; but my pillows were the lumpiest I've ever seen! So uncomfortable I could not sleep properly, and with or without pillows had a neck and headache. I think we were unlucky on this occasion, as the rest of the hotel was amazing and beautiful. I would suggest visitors check the room before booking if they can.

The hotel is well priced and looks amazing from the outside the bar area is good and fairly modern compared to the rest of the hotel, the breakfast room and the corridors are period fitting, the bedrooms are comfy although it feels a little dated, I stayed mid week for work and would stay again if I was in the area but I would say the restaurant needs a bit of updating or some better lighting from the dark panelling. It’s a lovely setting and there are good transport / taxi links into the local town for activities or other restaurants if your staying for a few nights

Shrewsbury Chiropractic Clinic has been treating me for a few weeks now for lower back problems. I couldnt stand for longer than 5 minutes without being in crippling pain. 3 weeks on, I can stand for much longer, walk further and am in so much less pain. Jon certainly finds the spot! From the reception to the treatment the service is excellent. My quality of life is so much better and is still improving. I have booked more treatments (no pressure to book) because no matter how good Jon is, he cannot fix back issues that are more than 10 years in the making. After visiting a chiropractor a few years ago, I knew I would get results with Jon, but I didnt expect the results to be a s good aas this. :)

We installed secondary glazing in about 1970 in one of our bedrooms, but when the clips for the upper sash broke, so that it couldn't remain up in place, we asked Salop Glass to look at it. They explained that it couldn't be repaired, but would have to be replaced entirely. We went to see their demonstration model, which is fitted with balancing weights, so that both sashes can be raised or lowered with ease, as well as be opened inwards to allow both secondary panes to be cleaned, neither of which can be done on other secondary glazing we have. We duly accepted their quotation and found that all their staff, with whom we have come into contact, have been friendly and professional and have done an excellent job, with which we are well pleased.

Paul is a brilliant locksmith, hugely knowledgeable and so helpful. He dealt with all of our locks at work and is our first port of call should we need any advice on these or for any repair/upgrade. I also use him for our locks at home as he is totally honest, reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommended.

Recently moved to the area and used Abbey Vets for the first time yesterday. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff, very friendly and helpful, from Jo on reception to our vet Zoe. She talked me through the examination and explained the various medication options, letting me know the cost of each one so I could budget accordingly. Excellent service.
