Lovely place to spend an hour or two. The weather was terrible so the meadows weren't an option but we will be back!

Visited as a family of 4.
Good free parking facilities. The centre has some great displays and the short film is very interesting.
The shop and cafeteria are well stocked with lots of choices and The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The walk around the riverside meadows was nice with lots of lovely wild flowers blooming. Great day out for all ages.

The visitor centre is very nice, very smart and informative. There is a good cafe there too. Well worth a few quid to go and learn about the area's history, geology and archaeological sites. There's a copy of the mammoth skeleton found nearby too, which is very cool. The marked walks were not so impressive, but it was March and the area had recently been subject to heavy rain and floods.

Intrigued and lured in by the signage we stopped in on our way from Stokesay to Church Stretton.

Unfortunately this just wasn't for us. The shop and centre weren't especially distracting and the museum appeared closed so perhaps we missed out.

There looked to be plenty of outdoor activity possible so I'd say this place is better suited to young families and/or dogs with loads of energy to run off.

As far as couples' visit - not really something I'd recommend.

We went for a walk here which was lovely, however more signage is needed. The cafe is expensive for what you get and staff was OK not very welcoming to be honest.

Loved learning about the mammoth and the history of the beautiful surrounding Shropshire countryside. The film gives a great overview of both the history and beauty of the area. Lots of lovely walks are signposted from here, with a range of distances. We then enjoyed some well priced drinks at the cafe, served by friendly staff. Finally picked up some items for Christmas gifts from the shop, lots of choice and some great value items.

Lovely coffee shop attached to salop leisure very relaxing environment. Great menu choices but expensive for some items ordered juice for my daughter and it was a small carton and was charged £1.35 no way it was worth that and must be a massive mark up but little other choice for children. Would visit again but would be as a great because of cost. Clean environment staff ok why not rude not very welcoming either.

I am a regular for coffee and lunch at Salop Leisure, food and coffee is always good, you may pay a bit more but the quality is there. The staff are brilliant, always very cheerful helpfull, they serve everyone with the same attention to detail. Tables are always cleared and cleaned very quickly.

This is definitely my favourite cafe in all of the Shrewsbury or Telford area, and always my first choice for lunch.
I have a real penchant for scones and these are the best I've ever had ANYWHERE! The fruit scones are packed full of juicy raisins and melt in your mouth. You can have them with cream & jam but they are heavenly simply with butter. Only thing is, you need to get there early and have them with morning coffee as they are often sold out by afternoon tea!The toasted sandwiches and Panini's are also lovely, but my other particular favourite is the jacket potatoes with chicken & bacon. They are a little pricey but are worth every penny.
The staff are always polite and friendly and super efficient. This cafe is always my first choice for lunch or meeting up with friends and I cannot say anything negative about it.
