I just loved learning to drive with Dot shes very thorough and helpful and gives you hand out sheets after your lesson so you can read up on what you need to know for the next lesson. I also did my pass plus with Dot and I have never had any trouble on the motorways without it I wouldn't have been confident enough to go on a motorway at all. I passed my test first time with only 2 minors, I would highly recommend her

I passed my driving test with Dot,she is really passionate about her job and getting her pupils through their test! Which is more than some other instructors that sit there and direct you! She has motivation and will go that step further.I also completed my pass plus course with her,this really gave me confidence as a new driver.Top instructor A++++++++.

I passed my test with Passing Place first time in May 2008, i had only been having lessons with Dot from December 2007 so in 5 months i had a full driving license! I would recommend her to any learner drivers as she is a great instructor and will teach you every thing you need to know for safe driving for life. Dot never wastes a minute of your lessons and will make sure you get your moneys worth every time. Finally i would like to mention how mixing Dots professional tution with lots of private practice was highly benificial as it allows you to gain even more practice in preperation for ur test.

I passed my test with Dot just over a year ago and as soon as I began driving alone I felt confident and well equipped to drive in any situation, thanks to a good instructor. Dot makes sure you feel confident and the skills she taught me have stayed with me even after I passed my test. She made learning to drive a fun experience while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The extra materials she provides for inbetween the lessons are really helpful. She is a brilliant instructor who puts the emphasis on safe and confident driving. Dot makes the most of your lessons and actively works on making progress each lesson. I completed my Pass Plus with Dot and I now feel fully confident on motorways. I highly recommend Dot to anyone who wants to enjoy learning to drive and wants to get the most out of their lessons. She is the best of Skem!

Iʼve been driving for about two years now and Iʼve enjoyed every second of it. It all started when I was recommended by my girlfriend to Passing Places, telling me that the Driving Instructor, Dot, was very good and explained everything in detail. I was also told that Dot was patient and really understanding. When I took my first driving lesson with Dot I came to realise that everything my g/f told me was true, I felt very calm and relaxed with all my lessons with Dot. Dot will not let you take your test until she feels that you are totally ready and are really confident. Which is a good thing because I past first time with a really good pass mark.
After I past my test, Dot told me that she also teaches a course called Pass Plus which introduces new drivers to the motorway. I also completed this course and iʼm glad I did, because I learnt and discovered alot that is really useful and helpful.
Anyway, I would highly recommend Passing Places if you want to learn to drive. Overall 10 out of 10.

As the parent of a 17 year old who was taught to drive by Passing Place I can testify to the effectiveness of the tuition. 18 months after passing her test on the first occasion my daughter continues to be a safe driver making use of the skills that she was taught.
As driving is one of the most dangerous things that most of us do, I am delighted that my daughter has been taught so well.

I passed my test with Passing Place back in Feb 2007, i had only been having lessons with Dot from October 2006 so in just over 4 months with Dots professional tuition i had a full driving license! I would recommend her to anybody wanting to learn to drive as she is an exceptional instructor and will teach you every little thing you need to know. Dot also doesnt waste a minute of your lessons, she makes sure you gets your moneys worth and will have you on the road in no time!

I passed my driving test with Dot, June 07. I would recommend Passing Place to anyone who is thinking of learning to drive. Dot is patient and caring and very easy to get on with, she took the time to explain things to me and helped me through good lessons aswell as bad ones!! It was a very big relief when I passed my test, and I only got one fault!. I owe a lot to Dot for her teaching and commitment. My life has changed for the better now I can drive, I have a new job but most importantly I have my independance!.

I passed with Dot Riley / Passing Place first time. Dot was my second instructor after having non-productive lessons with someonelse so I can compare both. Dot is passionate about her carrer and students. Dot gave highly concentrated tution making every minute count, unlike wasting many minutes of a lesson talking about holidays or weekend pursuits! Dotʼs standards of teaching are so high that you know you can pass when the time comes. Dotʼs teaching and rules are all by the official book. I was amazed to learn that I had been neglected in so many important areas by my previous instructor, but Dot corrected these areas.
Dotʼs high qualifcations, methods of teaching, desire for student success, together with her friendly approach, makes Dot the best of Skelmersdale.

I passed my test in 1997 with dot i highly recommend dot to anyone who wants to have lessons: her dedication to her job is outstanding she is a truly exceptional driving instructor who gives you a 100% each lesson if you have tried the rest then go to the best DOT my son michael passes his test with dot february 07 after 5 months of lessons with dot he was confident with her she made him feel at ease as he was a bit nervouse first lesson as we all are but after a few weeks he was everywere with her on the road then his confidence had grown and dot said he was ready for his test and he will pass and he did thanks to dot i have recomended her to lots of people she is the best a truely dedicated instructor and a wonderful person.

I found Passing Place on The Best Of, when I was looking for a local driving school to teach my son to drive - for his 17th birthday!

She provided an inpressive birthday pack and went out of her way to accommodate Matthew. Even offering a first double lesson (with a first lesson discount) on his birthday.
