Mell Square Shopping Centre played host to some very some rowdy rodents this week, in the form of hit cartoon pop stars Alvin & The Chipmunks!
The cheeky trio were in Solihull to celebrate the release of their latest movie, ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS: CHIPWRECKED in which Alvin, Simon and Theodore find themselves marooned on a tropical island with their friends the Chipettes. But all is not as it seems - as the group slowly realise they are not the only inhabitants of the deserted paradise!
Delighted children from the region spent two fun filled hours having their photograph taken with the cartoon characters in glorious spring sunshine.
Mell Square Centre Manager, Paul Round said of the event: “It was a huge compliment to children in our Centre that Alvin & The Chipmunks decided to visit Mell Square as part of their nationwide tour of the UK. The town was packed with hundreds of excited fans all having their photographs taken with their cartoon heroes and I’m sure they will all be flocking to see the film when it comes out on DVD.”
