In Solihull Town Centre the Christmas festivities are in full swing. The weather this weekend, 28th November, has not discouraged the crowds. The events and attractions in Solihull Town Centre make 2015 a Christmas to remember.
Mell Square, The High Street and Touchwood Shopping Centre were packed with shoppers and families having fun and getting in the festive mood and supporting the efforts of the stall holders and organisers of Solihull's fabulous activities.
Enjoy Christmas with the events and attractions on offer:
Mell Square in the heart of Solihull town centre has "Lets Skate Solihull " Solihulls first ever outdoor ice rink. Its the perfect place to enjoy a laugh with friends or for family fun. If your not very experienced on the ice, you can take to the ice with a push along seal friend. Although I didnt see any adults with this perfect aid so perhaps I wont embarress myself and leave them to the little ones!
Speaking of the little family members they can meet Mr and Mrs Frosty in their Snow Garden also in Mell Square, where they can play in the driest and warmest snow around in a safe environment. Its open until the 20th December 7 days a week from 11am – 5pm (Slightly later at the weekend and the last week of opening). Its free of charge and children aged 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The Merry Monk German inspired Bar returns to Mell Square for another year. Perfect for drinks after work with colleagues, or to take a break from Christmas shopping with friends and family.
Enjoy the Christmas Chalet Market which opened today, 28th November until 20th December. There are over 50 hand painted selling market goodies from wines, to fur blankets, handmade jewellery and Christmas jumpers.
It was lovely today to wander around the Saturday Fine Food and Drink Market. On every Saturday until Christmas, 5th December, 12th December and 19th December, 10am – 5.30pm. There's a selection of fine wines, cheeses, cakes, recipe books and even gluten free goodies.
Inside Touchwood Shopping Centre the festive mood continues with a fantastic centre display with a Christmas tree and includes an owl and deer in a winter wonderland setting.
