The sun is shinning, schools are out and the Summer holidays are upon us, three reasons to cheer! In fact there's four reasons because with fantastic events happening across the borough, Solihull, has all the entertainment and activities right on your door step this weekend and the week ahead!

On at the moment the Costa del Solihull Beach at Touchwood Shopping Centre, brings a touch of Rio, ready for the Summer Olympics to the region. There's a packed schedule of entertainment, as Samba music and festival fever hits the town, on until the 4th September, this year the fun is extended into the evenings for the first time. Also, to mark the opening ceremony of the Rio Olympics on Saturday August 9 guests will be able to embrace the Brazilian beats and really get into the carnival spirit.

Friday 29th July
We have weekly fun at, Silver Blades Ice Rink every Friday you can get your skates on from 5pm til 6.30pm and take to the ice for Friday Family Fun.
For the adults visit Luna Night Club for Mischief Solihull starts at 10pm til late.
Saturday 30th
Get fit for the Summer and join in the Brueton Parkrun held every Saturday from 9.pm it's a 5km run but all for fun!
Sunday 31st
The Hockley Heath Car Boot Sale & Market takes place every Sunday. Why not go along and pick up a bargain?
The Core Theatre have the finest in Irish song and dance with Rhythm of the Dance from 7.30pm
Monday 1st August
Its the start of Young Actors Studio Theatre Summer School at The Core Theatre. All budding actors can sign up to this great drama summer course.
The Parkridge Centre, at Brueton Park have activities for the kids during the week including, Pond Dipping, Nuts about Nature, Crafty Drop in Day, & Bat Walk 1 at Brueton Park,
Thursday 4th
Book your tickets for the family musical show, Treasure Island with audience participation, this show is the Young Actors Studio Summer School end of course performance.
Now it's time for the sneak look at events further ahead so you can plan and book in plenty of time....
Friday 5th August get along to Solihull's traditional Farmers Market with a wealth of seasonal food and drink available great it's a great opportunity for traders to meet local people and introduce them to fresh and home grown food.
Saturday 6th August at Fentham Hall, Hampton in Arden, pop along to the Midland Vintage and Antique Fair There is a friendly welcome to customers old and new.
