Embark on a tall ship adventure
Book now for the chance of a unique voyage on the magnificent tall ship the Atlantis – or just come along to step aboard to see what it’s like!
The spectacular vessel sails to Southend Pier on Wednesday 1st June and will be moored there in between undertaking day trips up until, and including Sunday 5th June.
Residents and visitors will be able to explore or to set sail on this historic three-masted barque launched in Hamburg, Germany, in 1905.
The elegant Atlantis has a large single-level upper deck above an enormous saloon. Its decorations reflect the traditional style of the world’s most lavish ocean liners.
To go on board the Atlantis during the Open Ship sessions at the end of the Pier, admission is just £1 for adults and free for the under 12s with an accompanying adult,
To experience the ship in action, day trips cost £35 for adults and £20 for children. Those aged from 12 to 15 must be accompanied by an adult. A family ticket for two adults and two children costs £85.
Refreshments are available in both the saloon and from a central bar on the upper deck.
The ship is due to arrive at midday on Wednesday 1st June, and its programme is as follows:
· Thursday 2nd June – Open ship from 10am till 6pm
· Friday 3rd June – Sailing from 9am till 12 noon. Open ship from 12.30pm till 4.30pm. Sailing from 5pm till 8pm
· Saturday 4th June – Sailings from 9am till 12 noon; 1pm till 4pm; and 5pm till 8pm
· Sunday 5th June – Open ship from 10am till 6pm

“This will give a marvellous opportunity for people to find out first hand, what it feels like to be aboard such a wonderful vessel.”
