College and Businesses get together to Challenge you in 3 Minutes!
At Southend College, Southend Borough Council and Hamlet Court Road traders have been working together to do something new!
Southend Adult Community College has championed an initiative to reinforce Hamlet Court Road’s position in the community. The fun initiative is the 3 minute challenge!
Shoppers are encouraged to learn new skills; as taught to them by the traders. Do you think you can learn something in 3 minutes? Learning can be anything from decorating cakes and first aid to button holes and cleaning glasses.
The ‘3 minute challenge’ seeks to use local knowledge and skills to interest the community in visiting their High Street, Hamlet Court Road for more than just shopping. This allows local businesses to promote themselves to an increased footfall as well as building a community loyalty.
The initiative is being launched on Thursday 10th May with approximately 15 local business taking part and will be followed by smaller events on Thursdays in future months.
