Girls on the move!
Women from 16 years old upwards are invited to put their best feet forward and try out some popular Running Sisters sessions.
These women-only group running activities delivered by East Essex Triathlon Club, build confidence and fitness, and are available at beginner and intermediate levels.
The next course starts in Priory Park on Tuesday 19th April at 9.30am till 10.30am for beginners and 10.30am till 11.30am for intermediates.
From then on, the sessions will take place on Tuesday 26th April, Tuesday 3rd May, Tuesday 10th May, Tuesday 17th May and Tuesday 24th May.
Meanwhile more Running Sisters classes start at Chalkwell Park on Wednesday 20th April at 6.30pm till 7.30pm for beginners and 7.30pm till 8.30pm for intermediates.
From then on the sessions will be held on Wednesday 27th April, Wednesday 4th May, Wednesday 11th May, Wednesday 18th May and Wednesday 25th May.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Head of Culture, Nick Harris said: “These classes are a great way to encourage women to find their feet in running. Many feel it is much more fun and more sociable to run as a group. These popular sessions are continuing to grow and develop.”

The next course starts at Southend Swimming and Diving Centre, Garon Park, Southend from 9:30am to 11:30am on Thursday 28th April.
It then continues on Thursday 5th May, Thursday 12th May, Thursday 26th May, Thursday 9th June, Thursday 16th June, Thursday 23rd June and Thursday 30th June. This eight week course costs £38.
