A host of ghosts and wonderful wacky weirdness is creating a Hallowe’en hullabaloo on Southend Pier.
Children are invited to dare to ride on the ghost train along the Pier with spooky stories, ghoulish fancy dress and a fabulous firework display.
Booking is essential for this scary sell-out on Saturday 20th October, Saturday 26th October and Saturday 3rd November.
But the grown-ups won’t be free from fears on the Pier either.
Over 18’s can chill their spines on Friday Fright Nights at the Pier Cultural Centre, by watching ‘Humanoids from the Deep’ on Friday 26th October, and ‘Dawn of the Dead’ on Friday 2nd November.
Tickets cost just £8 including the Pier train ride for these frightening Friday films in association with local film company, The White Bus Limited.
Both these chilling cinema epics start at 7:30pm in this truly unique venue. For bookings please contact: 01702 618747 VIC@southend.gov.uk or www.visitsouthend.co.uk
For more free horror, on Saturday 3rd November why not get horribly made up in your best Zombie outfit and take part in Southend’s first ever free Zombie Walk at 3pm starting at the Pier Cultural Centre. The terrifying trail of Zombies will stagger down the Pier and into the Park Inn Palace Hotel on the seafront, for a free screening of the hilariously scary ‘Carry on Screaming.’
Finally, on Sunday 4th November, the Park Inn Palace is also screening ‘Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein’ and the infamous ‘Woman in Black’ Tickets are just £6.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: “These frighteningly fun events are set to entertain residents and visitors, and will demonstrate how our world famous Pier is the centre of all kinds of excitement and adventure. We hope as many people as possible come along to enjoy the action – but be sure to book to be spooked!”
I am the very proud owner of thebestofsouthend. My aim is to really shout about why Southend is so great & champion our local business owners who do a really great job!
