Legal challenge to runaway extension dismissed
A legal challenge to Southend Airport's runway extension has been dismissed by a High Court judge. The decision now means the plans to extend the runway to accomodate bigger, modern aircraft will go ahead.
Nigel Holdcroft, Sougthend Councils Tory leader said "I'm pleased the High Court has vindicated the councils decision. I simply regret the horrendous amount of public money wasted on this process".
