Spring into street dance
Hurry down to Shoeburyness Leisure Centre for sensational Street Dance classes.
These cost only £4.50 per session are now available on Tuesdays from 7pm till 8pm in the multipurpose room at the Centre in Delaware Road, Shoebury
These classes are aimed adults, but would suit anyone aged from15 years old upwards.
They are part of the Sway Dance initiative, launched earlier this year nationwide by Parkwood Leisure, the company which manages Southend’s leisure centres on behalf of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.
Street Dance is one of the core disciplines being offered under the initiative, and participants can work towards nationally recognised dance qualifications as part of structured dance classes designed to appeal to all age groups and abilities.
Councillor Derek Jarvis, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Executive Councillor for Culture, said: “These classes are a terrific opportunity for people to explore this extremely popular dance form. They are a great way to keep fit, meet people and have lots of fun.”
