A special ‘Only Fools and Horses’ exhibition at Southend Pier Cultural Centre will feature original costumes and props from the celebrated BBC TV series.
The Trotters’ familiar living room will be re-created at the Cultural Centre at the end of the Pier from the afternoon of Tuesday 2nd April until Monday 15th April – along with the iconic yellow van.Plans for a ceremonial opening event are also being finalised for the end of March.
Meanwhile the Trotters Independent Trading Company’s vehicle was recently spotted briefly at the land end of the Pier, but will return and relocate to the Pier Head for the exhibition.
In addition to usual Pier admission prices, it will cost just £1 to experience Del and Rodney’s surroundings first hand and feel as if you have walked into their lives. Exclusive souvenirs will also be on sale too.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: “’Only Fools and Horses’ was such a popular series, we hope as many people as possible come along to enjoy the chance to re-live it, via the intriguing memorabilia on show.”
