Aquazones Southport is recognised as a training centre by the RYA for marine radio short range certificates for safety in boats and small craft.
At Aquazones in Southport we run courses for GMDSS certificates for use in boats and small craft.
RYA SHORT RANGE CERTIFICATE VHF Radio Course
This replaced the former VHS restricted licence and is now mandatory to operate marine VHF radio in all boats and small craft.
The radio course also includes Digital Selective Calling (DSC) Navtex, EBIRBs and SARTs.
At Aquazones Southport we use realistic computer simulators, and training radios

RYA SHORT RANGE CERTIFICATE VHF Radio Course (update)
Designed for boat and small craft users with a current VHF licence. On this radio course you will update your knowledge to meet current requirements for safety in boats and small craft. However if your radio communication needs a thorough update,a full radio course is advised.
Price £40 (plus RYA admin fee)

Aquazones Southport offers the above courses for the boat and small craft user at mutually convenient times and venues.
