Absolutely brilliant couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon! We were unfortunately late for our booking due to waiting for a meal but we called and informed the lovely Jade who said it was no problem, luckily for us noone had booked the 5pm slot so she let us still have 2 hours from when we set off. Jade was brilliant- so informative and really relaxed. She went through all of the safety information with us and told us the best places to Moor if we wanted a stop off at a cafe or pub. Really amazing experience for 6 ladies who had never done anything like this before but felt confident enough to sail off on our own to explore. Thank you so much Jade- we will definitely be back hopefully for half a day next time!

Great half day out on Bruce today. Really helpful, friendly team who explained everything really well. Had a relaxing morning on the river and would definitely be hiring again and recommend too. Great value for money and fun to do something different on a Sunday morning. The dog loved it too!

Had a fantastic time on the river. The staff member gave us a run through of how to be safe and how the boat works. We went out for two hours and would of loved to stay for longer.

This is a family boat hire company with just a few boats but the service is spot on, we had a great 4 hours on the river, they explained about and and encouraged us to use the locks which worked out well to get more out of experience. Enjoyed it👍

This company and boating experience is highly recommended! So easy to book online, great communication from the team in advance and a super helpful, welcoming crew on the day. We felt hugely comfortable with navigating the locks thanks to their help, and absolutely loved cruising along the river in a four hour hire. We headed out of town towards Great Barford and were stunned by the abundance of wildlife in and around the water.

We hired out 'the Bruce' today for 4 hours. The staff on arrival (I wish I got his name) was so welcoming, informative and brilliant with my 2 little ones and very nervous step dad. He explained river etiquette, safety and how to work the locks without it sounding like a lecture. The boat was very well maintained and contained a river map, sound system and even pillows and a blanket. Excellent day out, fabulous service. Will absolutely be going back for another day out!

Lovely day with my son on his birthday. Friendly, competent checkin. Plenty of room on the dory for 2 or even four. Went down to the pretty pub at Great Barford. 3 hrs each way roughly, but timing depends how lucky you are with the locks. Apart from nearly emptying the river with a lock with paddles at each end open, my son managed to learn both the principles and the tricks.Strongly recommended as a day out.

A great way to spend a warm Saturday morning cruising the Ouse on board Dory.
We all had a great experience even mooring outside the Priory to get some Greg's Sausage Rolls. We hired the boat for 4 hours and managed to navigate Little Paxton lock with some friendly help. Brilliant time was had by all. A very friendly indepth briefing made using the boat very easy. We'll definitely be booking again soon.

We had a lovely 2 hour trip on Bruce. The boat was sized for 8 people and we had 5. There was plenty of space for us. I can imagine 8 large people would be a squeeze, especially if they brought bags, but I'm sure it would accommodate 4 adults and 4 children, for example. We were able to move about easily and everyone had a turn at driving the boat. They were very understanding of us having 2 people with limited mobility (including one with Downs Syndrome) and ensured we would have the easiest access. There is a step into the boat, but we made it with not too much difficulty. I feel that some of the previous reviewers had elevated expectations! For £60 for 2 hours it was excellent value for money. Some boat hire is considerably more expensive. The boat was tidy and equipped with what was needed to moor and go through locks. There were also cushions and a blanket. It was very simple to drive and we all took turns, including the person with Down's Syndrome (with only a tiny bit of help), who did a great job of being captain for a while. We were able to go as far as the first lock, and returned, at the lowest speed. We'll definitely be back!

Fun way to pass couple of hours with friends and family when we got together before our sons wedding. Efficient online booking system and good safety briefing, Bruce and Dory were comfortable for our group of 10 on a sunny, warm day.
We took a cool bag with drinks and a few snacks to keep us going. Great seeing lots of swans and a heron.
Highly recommend for a relaxing experience. Thank you!

We hired Nemo for a couple of hours which was ideal for a family of 4. The safety briefing and tuition was first class, and we had a great couple of hours on the river. Everyone had a go at driving and we even stopped off for ice cream. It was easy to book and pay online too. Would highly recommend.

Hired "Bruce" for a couple of hours today and it was just really lovely - straightforward, friendly service and a lovely stretch of river. Saw multiple herons, kingfishers and comfortably had 5 on the boat - including a 3 year old who loved all the swans who followed along.

I had booked at short notice to make the best of the weather, am I pleased I chose this company of the ones I considered.
The whole set-up is relaxed yet professional. I lovely warm welcome with a briefing about the boat and river conditions and off we went downstream. The one lock we experienced was easy and fun and we got somewhere between the Paxton nature reserve and Buckden Marina (half day hire). We spent a lot of time on half power as it was so quiet and the best way to experience the tranquillity of the Great Ouse.
I could not recommend more highly, we will be back.
Thank you

I hired the smallest of the boats - the Dory - for four hours at a cost of £70. The briefing was comprehensive and covered all safety and operational aspects. The boat was clean and ready for our arrival and we encountered no problems. Thoroughly enjoyable.
