Nigel required my new kitchen completely and installed outdoor lighting and power points and I couldn't be happier. He is always cheerful and makes suggestions as to what will suit best including the types of fittings and possible options. He also replaced my ancient meter in the garage and I feel a whole lot safer. I'd recommend him any day of the week.

I have come across Gollins Electrical on Thebestof and decided to try them. I needed a new consumer unit, new power points for hard wired appliances and a general inspection of the wiring in a flat. Nigel took the trouble to come and look at the work on a Saturday afternoon and provided me with a very reasonable quote. The work has been done promptly, tidy and nothing was too much trouble. I would not hesitate using them again in the future or recommending them to anyone.

We asked Nigel to install a light/fan fitting, and do a couple of other small electrical jobs. Pleasantly surprised when, having come round to assess and price the job, he said he could do it the next day. He duly did so, and did a great job at a good price. Recommended, will certainly use again.

At very short notice, Nigel agreed to come and update our control board, some areas of older wiring and the main fuse box, as we're preparing to put the house on the market. Nigel, Mick and Joe did a first class job. I was working away for the day and had moved furniture, cooker and other appliances in order for them to access the areas in which they needed to work. I was more than pleasantly surprised that when I returned home late afternoon, all the work was complete, all of the above items had been returned to their rightful places, and the whole downstairs had been hoovered. You can't ask much more - very friendly and very professional and I can wholeheartedly recommend them.

Nigel and Mick installed and wired a ceiling mounted cooker hood. Nigel responded very promptly, within hours to my request. They turned up on time and completed the job in hand. Very friendly guys, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Very pleased to have found a local professional who delivers good work at reasonable prices. HOW REFRESHING. BT and another independent Electrician advised and quoted me in excess of £150 to move my broadband connection. I asked if I could use an extension cable but was told that this would weaken the signal and would be detrimental to the broadband service. I phoned Nigel that afternoon having found his number on "Best of St Neots". One day later before 8.am Nigel called round and assessed the situation and advised me that actually an ADSL extension cable would suffice, the cable cost me 7.99 and guess what? “It worked”. Nigel would not accept any payment for his advice. I found his attitude refreshing in light of what I had been quoted previously for something I didn't need. Nigel came round to fix our bathroom extractor as I had been to vigorous in cleaning it and managed to stop it working . He repaired it for us and gave us a few tips on light bulbs etc. for the bathroom . Very pleased with his work and we shall certainly call him again when we need any further jobs doing .

Nigel has completed two jobs for us now and I have been extremely pleased with both. A friendly and efficient service providing electrics to our gazebo and outside playroom. All cables laid in garden were neatly placed and hidden where possible. Also given valuable input as to where and how the electrics should be installed into the playroom taking into consideration the children safety. Highly recommend.

Nigel did several small jobs ( blanked off an unwanted point, sorted an intermittent fault on a cooker) at short notice and a reasonable price. He and his assistant worked in a neat and tidy way and six weeks later there are no problems . We would use him again, five stars!
