Alconbury vs Priory Parkside U11 - 13th Dec 09
Our manager Gary was back from illness (but it has to be said still needs to take it easy for a while)
It was a late kick off - 2pm on a wet Sunday afternoon.
Alconbury has always been a good team that we have great games with....... but wow what a performance by the boys!!!!
From the first whistle all the lads were up for this and really started well
Within 5 mins Alconbury conceded a free kick about 35 yards out on the left side and up strolled Jacko. 1-0 with a superb shot in the top left corner.
Alfie then netted 2 within 10 mins with some great wing play and hard work by the midfielders and forwards working well together, with 1 of them started by a great tackle from Jon deep in our half.
Before the break Ollie added a 4th running on to a through ball by Rylee, then returned the favour on the stroke of half time.
All the boys then kept it going in the 2nd half with some really hard work and showing ther battling spirit we all know they have.
We added 4 more goals:
Rylee 1
Alfie 2
& Adam 1
Final score Alconbury 0 Priory 9
And a mention to the defence & Alex for really working hard to keep our first clean sheet...
Bring on Brampton, Little Paxton & Eaton Socon - playing like this they won't know what's hit them.
Well done all the boys it was fantastic to see that with hard work and fully concentrating you can play excellent.
Man of the match for Priory - Jack Hellewell (a real determined & faultless effort)
Bye for now and see you Tuesday - "come on the dads"
