St Neots brings home the Magic of Christmas for Lights Switch On.
Ice and magic are the theme for this years’ Christmas Lights Switch On in the Market Square on Friday 29th November, which offers entertainment for the whole family from 3pm to 8pm.
Fire jugglers and magicians will perform along with a selection of local groups who will be singing, dancing and acting. We are also welcoming a synthetic ice rink this year FREE of charge for all ages.
Father Christmas will be in his grotto at the museum from 5pm and he may even visit his reindeer and sleigh in the Market Square.
The Market Square will house a themed traditional Christmas Market, selling gift ware and hand made products, as well as mulled wine and mulled cider. There will also be a fairground in the High Street until 10pm.
Guests will have the chance to create a ‘Star for a Star’ courtesy of Anglian Coop Funeral to place on our beautiful town Christmas tree. Also the winner of the Young People of the Year award and our headline act The Rockabella’s will be switching on the lights at 7.00pm before they perform live on stage. The evening rounds up with a fireworks display at 7.30pm.
Town Centre Manager Katie Williams said: “The 2013 Christmas Lights Switch On is going to be a fantastic finale to what has been a terrific year of celebrations for St Neots. We have introduced some new and unique attractions this year so there really is something for everyone from fire jugglers and a mulled wine tent to Santa’s live reindeer for the children. This event is undoubtedly a highlight in the annual calendar so wrap up warm and bring the family along for a night of magical entertainment.”

I've lived in St Neots since I was 13, and boy how it's changed. I'm always looking to promote everything great in and around our town.
