Match report for Priory Parkside U11 vs St Ives Rangers 18/04/2010
Priory were forced to play ith 10 men, due to absences (including one player stranded in Cyprus)!! And one player in plaster from the previous fixture between the teams.
This game was always going to be a battle and St Ives got the opening goal. The boys really got stuck in and did not look to be a man down with all giving 100%. Tom Berrill stepped up to take a penalty for Priory which he slotted away o bring the score to 1-1 at half time.
The second half started with St Ives being awarded a penalty which Alex Norman saved, only for another penalty to be awarded straightaway which St Ives scored. Priory kept on goping and when yet another penalty was awarded up stepped Tom to make the final score 2-2.
Deservedly man of the match was Tom Berrill - not just for his cool head taking the penalties but his attitude throughout the whole game, winning so many headers in defence.
Final score - Priory 2 v St Ives 2.
Man of the Match - Tom Berrill
