Priory Parkside U11 v Eaton Socon 6th Dec 09
At home for the 1st time in a while. Unfortunatly missing our manager Gary due to illness.(get well soon the boys need you)
Kick off at 11am on a windy Sunday morning.
Back to a full squad and the boys started well.
Both teams battled well but Priory took the lead with a nice worked goal from Adam after 7 mins, then Ollie added a second 3 mins later, and it was looking as they were in control until Eaton Socon (Harvey scored with 14 mins gone).
Priory then took control finshing the 1st half with another 2 goals from Ollie (17 mins & Adam gust before the break)
Jon then battled for our 5th at the start of the 2nd half and Alfie scored 5 mins later to make it 6-1
Then it all changed with Eaton Socon really fighting back and scoring 5 in 15 mins (Henry x 2 Harvey 2 more and Tyler 1)
Both teams had chances to win the game in the last 10 miniutes with the final score 6-6.
The game was played in a great spirit with many of both teams knowing each other from school.
So a tale of two halfs for Priory with their performance lacking the fight of the 1st half.
Man of the match for Priory - Ollie Curliss-Ackrill
Bye for now and see you next sunday...against Alconbury away....
