Ramsey U11 vs Priory Parkside U11 22nd Nov 09
We travelled to Ramsey on a windy sunday (22nd Nov) morning for kick off at 10.30am. - Thanks to Alistair we all found the place with 15 mins to spare....
We only had 1 reserve as Owen, Jon & Alfie were all ill...
The boys started well and within 15 mins were 3 goals up...
1st goal - Matty Law
2nd goal - Ollie Curliss-Ackrill
3rd goal - Matty Law
Then the wheels started to fall off and at half time the score was 3 -2 with two goals in the last 10 minitues from Ramsey.
As usual the boys seemed to take their foot off the gas, and ball.
After a superb half time talk from Gary and Phill the second half was a different game. Matty and Tom finally took control of midfield (after 6 weeks of training)which then allowed Rylee Scott to get his passing going, and the defence also look more solid.
Rylee then added a 4th, with Jack Morrison getting the 5th.
Shame that Ollie's goal was not given as it was real premiership play....
Final score Ramsey 2 - Priory 5
A superb effort from all the boys, myself and Gary both think this is the best so far...but know they can play even better.
MOM - Rylee Scott
Thanks to all the parents who came to support, and Ramsey for a great game played in the spirit that we all want to see (unlike other teams!)
Bye for now and see you next sunday...
I've lived in St Neots since I was 13, and boy how it's changed. I'm always looking to promote everything great in and around our town.
